On December 4, 2020, the documentary Billie was released in theatres and on streaming platforms. Written and directed by James Erskine, the film is based around interviews recorded on audio cassettes through the 1970s by Linda Lipnack Kuehl. The interviews feature the first-hand recollections of Lady Day’s friends, family members, band members, peers and associates. Watch at home here.
April 6th, Billie is inducted into The Apollo Theater’s Walk of Fame
